BitcoinSuper does not receive commissions for SMSF administrator referrals.

Bitcoin Super iPhone app

This section covers Bitcoin Super, a watch only companion app for Australian SMSF trustees. It uses public vault configuration only (extended public keys and descriptors). It does not access private keys or seed phrases. The app is published on the App Store in Australia and New Zealand only.

Vault configuration: Watch only Unchained JSON or Theya descriptors you import, plus display names and vault selection preferences.

Scan results: Balances, transaction history, and UTXO data derived from public blockchain queries.

Statements: Generated Australian financial year statements and supporting transaction detail you create in the app.

Profile and scenarios: Age, retirement age, and illustrative growth assumptions for Dashboard scenarios.

Chart cache: Monthly balance history and bundled AUD price data used for charts and statements.

Preferences: Theme, balance visibility, and other Settings stored locally.

Network requests

Bitcoin Super fetches public blockchain data and price information to display balances, charts, and statements. AUD valuations use bundled BTC Markets (AUD), Bitstamp (USD), and ECB/Frankfurter cross rates, with shared App Group daily incrementals where available.

The app does not send vault data to BitcoinSuper.io or The Bitcoin Adviser automatically. No analytics, tracking technologies, or advertising identifiers are used in the app today.

Shared vault store (same iPhone)

When TBA Vault Watcher, TBA Vault Health, and Bitcoin Super are installed on the same iPhone, vault configs and scan data may sync through shared on device App Group storage only. This is not iCloud, not a cloud account, and data is not transmitted to us for login or custody purposes. Vault selection in Bitcoin Super applies to Bitcoin Super only.

Hide balances: Mask displayed BTC and AUD amounts in Settings.

Delete vaults: Remove individual vaults from the shared store in Settings.

Delete the app: Removes Bitcoin Super local preferences. Shared vault data may remain until removed in a sibling app or reset there.

Device security: You are responsible for securing your iPhone (passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID). If you lose your device, re import vault configs from your custody platform and rescan.

External Resources

Third party links and introductions: This site may reference third party articles, tools, SMSF administrators, accountants, tax professionals, custody providers, advisers, or other external resources. Their privacy practices are independent of ours. We do not provide your personal information to those providers unless you request an introduction, give us permission, or submit information to them directly. Links should not be interpreted as endorsements, advice, or confirmation that a provider is suitable for your circumstances.

Provider privacy policies: If you choose to engage with an external provider, review that provider's privacy policy and terms before submitting personal information.
